Arbitrations With Chinese Parties
David has been elected to the Panels of Arbitrators of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC); the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BJAC); and the Chinese Arbitration Association (CAA), Taipei. He regularly sits as an arbitrator in China-related cases, including several where amounts in dispute have exceeded US$100 million.
Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese as a second language, David reads traditional as well as simplified Chinese characters.
Prior to joining Vodafone, David was the General Counsel of China Mobile (Hong Kong) Ltd., from 1999 to 2005.
David earned an undergraduate degree in East Asian Area Studies from Muhlenberg College, in the U.S, and is a graduate of the Oberlin College Intensive Chinese Language and Area Studies Program, in Taiwan.
